Based in Peterhead, Harley of Scotland remains one of the few manufacturers dedicated to the craft of genuine seamless knitting. Each sweater is knitted as a single continuous piece, eliminating side seams and conventional assembly to provide a naturally balanced fit, enhanced comfort and exceptional durability.

This sweater is crafted from premium Supersoft Shetland Wool spun by J.C. Rennie at Milladen Mill in Scotland. Carefully selected for its softer handle while preserving the authentic character of traditional Shetland wool, the yarn offers excellent insulation, breathability and long-lasting resilience.

The signature Shaggy finish is achieved by brushing the completed garment once using a natural teasel (Dipsacus Fullonum), a dried thistle that has been used in Scottish wool mills for centuries. Its flexible hooks gently lift the fibres without damaging them, creating a soft, lightly brushed texture that enhances warmth, loft and depth while maintaining the wool's natural integrity.

Fit & Sizing

Its medium-weight knit and slightly open stitch structure provide an excellent balance between warmth and breathability. The regular fit and classic crew neck make it easy to wear over a T-shirt or shirt, whether layered beneath outerwear or worn as a standalone piece throughout the colder months.
